About Dr Iris Derwig

Dr Iris Derwig is a Consultant Obstetrician and Subspecialist in Maternal Fetal Medicine working at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust in London since 2018.

 

She attended Medical School at Nottingham University. She graduated with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Microbiology from Nottingham University in 2001.  

 

She completed a MD(Res) in Fetal Medicine (on fetal MRI) with Professor Nicolaides at Kings College London in 2012.  Dr Iris Derwig has a number of publications.

 

She got a training number for Obstetrics and Gynaecology in the North West London rotation of hospitals and has worked in numerous prestigious hospitals. She passed the Membership of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (MRCOG) in 2012. She completed Subspecialist training in Obstetric Medicine and Fetal Medicine at Imperial College London Healthcare NHS Trust and she has the FMF Diploma in Fetal Medicine.

 

She was the Labour Ward Lead at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and is now one of the Maternity Improvement Leads' for the Trust.  She also heads the Fetal Medicine service on the West Middlesex University Hospital site.

In addition to the above, Iris also is an Educational Supervisor for the junior doctors and a Tutor for the Final Year 5 Medical Students at Imperial College London University.
